Holidays and Fees:
The Centre will be closed as per below:
All Public Holidays are observed statutorily.
Closed 22nd December - 5th January each year.
Closed every Sunday
Session’s fees are inclusive of all holidays.
Sickness and family holidays are paid for and not refundable to parents at any time.
The Centre should be given advance notice of all family holidays and sickness off. If you are on holiday, please let the Centre know beforehand.
Star Child Explore Learning’s Term and Conditions
Effective date: September 2014 till further notice.
Policy on Session’s Fees:
All fees are payable in advance and confirmation of payment to the Centre’s bank account must be received by the Centre Administrator’s Office on the 1st day of the week.
We do not give credit or credit notes or pay as you go. Fees are paid in advance on the first day of the week/month
We do not accept cheques, cash or any other methods of payment apart from paying into our bank account in any branches on weekly/monthly basis.
Registration Fees for New Students in 2014 (Non – Refundable)
• Nursery and Pre - Kindergarten 1(6 months – 3) Ghc12.00
• Kindergarten 2 (3 – 5) Ghc15.00
• Year 1 and 2 (5 - 7) Ghc18.00
• Year 3 – 6 (7 – 11) Ghc22.00
The Registration fee is a one off, non- refundable payment for all new comers and must be paid in full at the time of admission before the child is allowed to start at the Centre.
Fees per Session for All pupil in 2014:
• Nursery and Pre – Kindergarten 1: Ghc1.00
• Kindergarten 2: Ghc1.50
• Year 1 - 2: Ghc2.5
• Year 3 - 6: Gh3.50
• Year 7 – 9: Gh5.00
• Supplementary tuition Secondary and A Level: Ghc8.00 – Ghc10.00
Centre’s Hours:
The full day: from 8am till 7pm Monday to Saturday. Extra Curricular activities: After School Care from 4pm till 7pm Monday to Saturday. Early start: from 7am till 8am. Late collections: from 6pm till 7pm.
The extra fees for the Early and Late collection are as follows: Early Start: 15Ghc per month Late Collection: 15Gh per month
Sessions are between 30 mins 45 mins to 60 and 75 mins and within Am and PM:
Morning Sessions: 8am till 12md Afternoon Sessions: 1pm till 4pm Evening Sessions: 4pm till 7pm
Early and late school run services available daily by coach.
Fees:
Ghc12 per week each trip and paid in advance.
We only pick from nearby schools.
Reservation fees of Ghc15 (which will be part of the session’s fees, non refundable) is required of all pupil returning to the centre in the following year. This deposit will ensure the placement of such pupil in the following academic year. The non-payment of this reservation fees will result to places being reallocated to other children.
Late Charges Penalty:
There will be 2.5% late session’s fee charge on all outstanding fees after the 2nd day of resuming in the new week.
If your child starts at the Centre halfway through the week, parents will be required to pay in advance from their start date, and up to the end of the week.
Please be advised that the Head will not accept any child without the payment of the session’s fees.
If your child does not attend the Centre after reserving a place and the registration fees has been paid, the Centre will not refund the registration fees. Careful considerations must be taken before paying the registration fees.
One month’s notice will be given to parents in writing to terminate the Centre’s agreement with Parents except in conditions where immediate termination is necessary.
Two month’s written notice is required to withdraw a child from the Centre. If this notice is not given in writing, full session’s fees will be due for the 2 months. Verbal notice will not be acceptable. All withdrawal notices must be addressed to the Head of Star Child Explore Learning in writing and must be received on a Monday a week before the start date of the notice.
No reduction in session’s fees in respect of child's sickness or any natural disaster, emergency closure or in - house training of the staffs.
No refunds will be given if your child does not attend the Centre or sessions for any reasons.
1% discount will be given on the sibling’s first child’s session fees.
No refunds will be given in the event of any natural disasters, extreme bad weather conditions, bank holiday, nursery holiday, raining, any emergencies both statutory or non statutory resulting in the closure of the Centre for any time during the opening hours, flooding, any act of God, environmental disasters or terrorist attacks that may result in any long term closure of the Centre. No Insurance Compensation is available or will be given to any parents or carers using the services of the Play Centre.
(The Centre only provides short sessions of play and learning as a compliment to other educational provisions the children are attending or receiving. Parents may take out insurance covers to incorporate the above conditions with their insurers.)
All changes to session’s attendances must be requested through the Head of the Centre in writing. The consideration will be made according to availability of places. The reduction in numbers of days is also subject to availability. The Centre reserves the right to charge for the sessions until another child fills the place you are giving up. If parents want occasional holiday tuition for their older children of up to 18 years, please check availability of places with the Head of School.
Late Payment of session Fees:
It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure full payments are made by the 1st day of the week. Failure to ensure full payment may result in the termination of the Centre’s agreement with parents without receiving any prior notice.
