Special Educational Needs
At Star Child Explore Learning we believe that all children are unique and have individual needs, abilities and are welcomed from all cultures and backgrounds; including disabled children and those with special educational needs.
Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator at SCEL is the Head Teacher who has great knowledge and experience on Special Educational Needs.
The Head Teacher will be responsible for:
Ensuring liaison with parents and other professionals in respect of children with special educational needs.
Advising and supporting other staffs in the centre.
Ensuring appropriate Individual Educational Plan is in place for all the children.
Ensuring that relevant background information about children with special educational needs is collated, recorded and updated.
All staff will attend in-house training for update and self development yearly.
If you have concerns about any aspect of your child’s development please talk to the Key Worker, or the Head Teacher.
